We left on Sunday 9/11 for Michigan and the Upper Peninsula.  Before we start the blog, we would like to offer a prayer for all the victims, first responders and everyone who has been touched by this terrorist act.

We headed out bright and early on Sunday morning.  We planned to meet Larry & Pat Sessoms at our first overnight stay at Tamarack, West Virginia.  The best laid plans, as they say, sometimes don't go as planned.  We found them on the side of the road in Hillsville, Virginia.  Their truck ran out of go.  After waiting for the tow truck for a while,  he got towed ten miles back to the tow yard.  We followed him and disconnected his truck from his Montana.  We hitched it up and towed it to a nearby campground while Larry went with the tow truck to the nearest Chevy dealership.

Larry's rig matches our truck pretty good!!

We hooked our rig back up and continued on to Tamarack.  We stayed at the Cultural Center parking lot.  They have RV parking where you can stay for free.  There are no hookups (dry camping) and they have security patrolling the lot all night.  There is a very good restaurant in the center where we ate dinner.  It is on our list of good overnight stops.

West Virginia is BEAUTIFUL!!!

Monday (today) we travelled to Vanlue, Ohio and are here overnight at Heritage Springs Campground.  Larry & Pat will pull in here about 7:30 tonight.  The dealer found a collapsed fuel filter and replaced it this morning.

Tomorrow, we'll continue north to Linwood, Michigan where we will meet up with Frank & Sandy Tiegens for our last leg to Sault St. Marie.
